I did have a good day overall, but it was definitely a bit of a struggle. I'm working on my resume, since my application is due on Thursday. I know I'm over-qualified for this job, but it is a foot in the door, which is more than I've had. If I was to get the job, I wouldn't be guaranteed a position at my store when I got back. Lame. I find it hard to believe they'd give me up if corporate did.
I have a four day weekend next weekend, and everyone that I'd want to spend the weekend with is out of town. P, of course, is gone til July (sad panda). My buddy who lives in Bend (where my profile picture was taken) is going to be in Minnesota for a wedding. One of my (few) non-work/non-Army girl friends is going to Ohio. No idea what I'm going to do with myself. Hopefully work out a lot and have some fun. :) Oh yeah, and buy my new mountain bike! Whoohoo!
It's weird having P gone this time. I got really spoiled during NTC, where he had cell service and was allowed to have his phone on. We texted non-stop. My texts jumped from around 1000 a month to over 3500 that month. He has service, but only when he's on main post, which I assume isn't often. We got to exchange a few texts yesterday morning, but nothing since. It's weird not being able to text him. I found myself starting several texts both days, and I did end up sending him one this morning, just letting him know I'm thinking about him. I guess it'll prepare me more for deployment, where I may or may not hear from him for extended periods.
All right, time to go kick my ass doing Jillian Michael's workout! I was looking at it last night, and thought, "This won't be that hard! "
...Until I turned the page and realized day 1 has seven rounds of circuits, not just two. Some of the workouts will be difficult since I don't have access to a gym, but I'll figure something out to make do! I only have one set of weights right now, but I may go and buy another set of dumbbells.
Six posts until 200!! Don't forget to submit questions if you haven't already!
