The same headache that nagged me on Saturday at P's house is coming back. I took some allergy medicine, but it doesn't seem to be doing much.
It's my second "allergy" season in Washington, and last year, I think I got a free pass as my body adjusted. This year it's kicking my butt.
I don't have the motivation to run right now and my half marathon is 3 weeks away. I hate to admit it, but my training has sucked. Between my knee injury and just general inability to get back onto a good training plan.... this is going to be a shitty, shitty race.
I'm starting to look at my budget and trying to figure out where I can find the $300 to start up at Crossfit Bellevue. It's $150 a month after that, but the startup fees are $300, which includes unlimited access. I really want to get into a program that I'm paying for, at least to get myself back into "getting my ass kicked" mode.
It's only 8:30, and I think I'm going to be in bed within the hour. I'm just exhausted. And tomorrow I'm apparently going to be interviewed (and video taped--yikes!!) for a few different videos for my company. Including our Fortune 100 Best consideration package.
The questions are kinda tough:
- What does it mean to you to be an ___ employee?
- ....during the current economic climate?
- ....when it comes to stewardship and our commitment to caring for the environment?
- ....when it comes to the benefits we enjoy?
- What makes you feel good about working at ____?
- What does customer service mean to you?
And a couple other questions specific to our company. It's a little bit hard, because I'm feeling a little burnt out right now. Which I don't like, because I love my company. I want to give positive answers and yet be truthful, but man. I've got to think a little bit about what I want to say.
On the upside, I booked my trip to my dad's in Tennessee for the 4th of July!!
I started writing my responses to the questions I've gotten so far.... remind me sometime to tell you the story of the backpacking trip from hell. :)

Wow I wonder why their start up fees are so high. I know what you mean about finding the money for it. It was hard to budget it at first, but after just 3 months I felt like it was money well spent. The money committment alone kept me going sometimes.
Those are some really tough questions! Holy moly
Good luck with your video taping! I hope you start feeling better soon. Allergies suck!
I know what you mean...my allergies are out of control! It's all of the cotton floating around...driving me crazy!
